Hi! I’m Ilia, PhD student in Business Analytics at the University of Lausanne. I focus on supervised multi-modal machine learning with tabular data as the primary modality and high-dimensional data – such as natural text and images– as secondary modalities. I study the best ways of integrating (fusing) different data sources to produce point predictions with uncertainty bounds (prediction intervals). My other research interests include latent representation (encoding, EM algorithm, etc.) and inferring with missing modalities.

Outside of my research, I pursue a wide range of activities for both physical and mental well-being. I have a keen passion for sports science and nutrition. I enjoy gaming (pcmasterrace) and building custom (GPU-poor) rigs. Occasionally, I invest in tech stocks, particularly NASDAQ and AI companies.
